After being censored on YouTube, Oliver Stone released his 2016 film to the public, covering Ukraine's complex history and build up to the political unrest we see today
Released in 2016 - Runtime: 1:36:53 - Ukraine. Across its eastern border is Russia and to its west—Europe is on fire. For centuries, it has been at the center of a tug-of-war between powers seeking to control its rich lands and Russia's access to the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.The Maidan Massacre in early 2014 triggered a bloody uprising that ousted president Viktor Yanukovych painted Russia as the perpetrator by Western media. But was it? This spurred Crimeans to secede and join Russia, and sparked a civil war in Eastern Ukraine.
“Ukraine on Fire” by Igor Lopatonok provides a historical perspective for the deep divisions in the region which lead to the 2004 Orange Revolution, 2014 uprisings, and the violent overthrow of democratically elected Yanukovych.
Russia was portrayed by Western media as the perpetrator, and has been sanctioned and widely condemned as such. But was Russia responsible for what happened?
Ukraine on Fire provides a historical perspective for the deep divisions in the region which led to the 2004 Orange Revolution, the 2014 uprisings, and the violent overthrow of democratically-elected Yanukovych.
Covered by Western media as a 'popular—or people’s revolution', it was in fact a coup d'état scripted and staged by ultra-nationalist groups and the U.S. State Department during the Obama Administration.
Investigative journalist Robert Parry reveals how US-funded political NGOs and media companies have emerged since the 1980s, replacing the CIA in promoting America's geopolitical agenda abroad.
Executive producer Oliver Stone gained unprecedented access to the inside story through his on-camera interviews with former President Viktor Yanukovych and Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaliy Zakharchenko, who explain how the US Ambassador and factions in Washington actively plotted for regime change.
Oliver Stone interviews Russian President Vladimir Putin, Yanukovych and others exposing the role the U.S. played in destabilizing the region.
And, in his first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Stone solicits Putin's take on the significance of Crimea, NATO and the US's history of interference in elections and regime change in the region.

Government-Backed Genocide in Donbas Sparked War In UkraineArtillery shelling by Ukraine's government in tandem with brutal war crimes by the Azov Battalion in Donbas in violation of the Minsk Agreements compelled Russia to intervene militarily, claims retired Swiss strategic intelligence colonel Jacques Baud.
- The true catalyst behind the Ukraine conflict is rooted in the Ukraine government-sanctioned genocide of the Russian-speaking people of the Donbas region, according to a retired Swiss military-intelligence officer and top UN official.Jacques Baud, a former colonel of the Swiss strategic intelligence, who specialized on Eastern European countries and served as Policy Chief for United Nations Peace Operations, explained the roots of the Ukraine-Russia war in an essay published last month in the Centre Français de Recherche sur le Renseignement that was later translated to English in The Postil.
In his essay entitled, “The Military Situation In The Ukraine“, Baud explained the immediate situation that sparked Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was Ukraine’s accelerated artillery shelling of the Donbas region, specifically the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR).
“On 17 February, President Joe Biden announced that Russia would attack Ukraine in the next few days. How did he know this? It is a mystery. But since the 16th, the artillery shelling of the population of Donbass had increased dramatically, as the daily reports of the OSCE observers show,” Baud wrote.
“Naturally, neither the media, nor the European Union, nor NATO, nor any Western government reacted or intervened. It would be said later that this was Russian disinformation. In fact, it seems that the European Union and some countries have deliberately kept silent about the massacre of the Donbass population, knowing that this would provoke a Russian intervention.”
But other conditions implemented by Western powers also laid the groundwork for an eventual military response by Russia, Baud says, including Ukraine’s commissioning of radical paramilitary groups like the Azov Battalion to carry out massacres, tortures, and rapes of the Russian-speaking Donbas people following the Soros-backed coup of Ukraine’s government in 2014.
“These militias had been operating in the Donbass since 2014, with Western support. Even if one can argue about the term ‘Nazi,’ the fact remains that these militias are violent, convey a nauseating ideology and are virulently anti-Semitic…[and] are composed of fanatical and brutal individuals,” Baud wrote.
Tensions with Russia sharply escalated with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decree in March 2021 to recapture Crimea, accompanied by NATO exercises in the Black Sea, drone strike operations by Ukraine over the Donbas region in October 2021, and even reports of chemical weapon false flag efforts by CIA-backed saboteurs in the Donbas region in January 2022.
“At the same time, there were reports of sabotage in the Donbass. On 18 January, Donbass fighters intercepted saboteurs, who spoke Polish and were equipped with Western equipment and who were seeking to create chemical incidents in Gorlivka. They could have been CIA mercenaries, led or ‘advised’ by Americans and composed of Ukrainian or European fighters, to carry out sabotage actions in the Donbass Republics,” Baud noted.
This series of provocative actions prompted Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the independence of the DPR and LNR in Ukraine in early February 2022.
Baud explained that once the heavy artillery shelling of the Donbas population accelerated in February, the DNR and LNR asked Russia for military intervention, proving that Ukraine actually started the war on February 16, days before Russia invaded, which was hidden by Western media.
The Ukrainian artillery bombardment of the Donbass population continued, and, on 23 February, the two Republics asked for military assistance from Russia. On 24 February, Vladimir Putin invoked Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which provides for mutual military assistance in the framework of a defensive alliance. In sum, the United States, France and the European Union “have created the conditions for a conflict to break out,” Baud claimed. In order to make the Russian intervention seem totally illegal in the eyes of the public, Western powers deliberately hid the fact that the war actually started on February 16. The Ukrainian army was preparing to attack the Donbass as early as 2021, as some Russian and European intelligence services were well aware.
“We show compassion for the Ukrainian people and the two million refugees. That is fine. But if we had had a modicum of compassion for the same number of refugees from the Ukrainian populations of Donbass massacred by their own government and who sought refuge in Russia for eight years, none of this would probably have happened,” Baud wrote.
Despite the West’s push for war, Baud predicts Putin will likely achieve his military objectives.
“In the end, the price will be high, but Vladimir Putin will likely achieve the goals he set for himself. We have pushed him into the arms of China. His ties with Beijing have solidified,” Baud wrote. “China is emerging as a mediator in the conflict. The Americans have to ask Venezuela and Iran for oil to get out of the energy impasse they have put themselves in — and the United States has to piteously backtrack on the sanctions imposed on its enemies.”
But don’t expect the mainstream media to offer an honest assessment of the Ukraine conflict: they, in conjunction with their war hawk politician allies, wanted war all along.

Key Flashback: CIA Secretly “Nazifying” Ukraine Since 1953 The following Telesur article was posted in May of 2016:Projects continued in operation through the Richard Nixon administration during the 1970s
The U.S. has had a hand in numerous projects intent on destabilizing Ukraine’s governments.
A recent declassification of over 3,800 documents by the Central Intelligence Agency has revealed it operated two major programs intent on not only destabilizing Ukraine but ‘Nazifying’ it with followers of the World War II Ukrainian Nazi leader Stepan Bandera.
The documents, which were released earlier in the year, said that programs, spanning over four years, provided funding and equipment for such anti-Soviet Ukrainian resistance groups as the Ukrainian Supreme Liberation Council among a host of others.
The papers gave details of the AERODYNAMIC program which intended to destabilize Ukraine, using exile Ukrainian agents in the West who were infiltrated into the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
“The purpose of Project AERODYNAMIC is to provide for the exploitation and expansion of the anti-Soviet Ukrainian resistance for cold war and hot war purposes,” the formerly top secret document dated July 13, 1953 says of the project.
“Such groups as the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (UHVR) and its Ukrainian Insurgent Army (OUN), the Foreign Representation of the Ukrainian Supreme Council of Liberation (ZPUHVR) in Western Europe and the United States, and other organizations such as the OUN/B will be utilized,” the document continued.
The CIA documents show that under the AERODYNAMIC program the CIA operated an affiliate project codenamed CAPACHO.
According to the Signs of the Times magazine CAPACHO “took on more of a psychological warfare operation veneer,” with the CIA setting up a propaganda company in Manhattan that “catered to printing and publishing anti-Soviet ZPUHVR literature that would be smuggled into Ukraine.”
The AERODYNAMIC and CAPACHO projects continued in operation through the Richard Nixon administration during the 1970s.
But the U.S. continues to implement destabilizing projects in Ukraine.
Former U.S. agent Scott Rickard told Russia Today in 2014 that United States foreign aid agencies pumped US$5 billion into the groups protesting against democratically-elected Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych, who was ousted from office in early February 2014. The head of state had indicated his intent to move closer to Russia instead of the EU and the West.
Many think that U.S. involvement in the Ukrainian war is something new for America, but this has been ongoing since the 1947 formation of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Apparently, "Operation Red Sox" was meant to fly unmarked C-47s over the Black Sea, flying barely above the ground to avoid detection, dropping handfuls of commandos to link up with Ukrainian resistance then fighting Soviet expansionism. The goal of the operation was that "ultimately an operational base may be established in … Ukraine," according to a declassified CIA document. In 1947 chief of the CIA's Special Projects Division for Soviet operations wrote, "Operations using the Ukrainians as an organized group will probably turn out to be worthless – simply because without practical support the Ukrainian nationalist groups will be decimated by Soviet pressure and demoralization."Operation Red Sox commenced in 1949, with terrible results. Of the 85 agents the CIA dropped into Ukraine, many were not on the ground for more than a few hours before they were "captured and tortured or killed outright."
After this mysterious failure, Washington realized they did not know enough about the Ukrainian nationalists. It was discovered the nationalists were "directly linked to Nazi atrocities in the region" and were "Nazis, pure and simple." One CIA operations chief stated that it was "worse than that, because a lot of them did the Nazis' dirty work for them."
Discovery that MI6 officer Kim Philby had been spying for the Russians since 1933 and may have betrayed the program could also account for the mission's failure.
The CIA continued its missions into Ukraine well into the 1950s.
Fast-forward to February 2014. Joe Biden, Obama's point man in Ukrainian affairs, was in Kyiv and "watched anti-government protesters fill the streets in what became known as the Maidan revolution." "Masked militants" demanded a change in government and constitution. Duly elected Ukrainian President Yanukovych was accused of being pro-Russian and anti-European with his policies, because he refused to sign an EU agreement. He had been elected "in balloting that international observers considered reasonably free and fair." According to filmmaker Oliver Stone's four-hour interview with Yanukovych, a deal that Yanukovych had agreed to was tossed aside "when well-armed, neo-Nazi radicals forced him to flee the country with repeated assassination attempts." The next day, "a new pro-Western government was established and immediately recognized by the U.S. (as in the Chavez 2002 coup)."
Prior to this, Russian intelligence intercepted a telephone call between Victoria Nuland, assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs, and Geoffrey Pyatt, U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. This call detailed their selection of Yatsenyuk as prime minister once Yanukovych was ousted. The telephone call was leaked to the international media.
Unfortunately, in this Maiden revolution, protesters and police officers lost their lives. The slain activists are known as "the Heavenly Hundred." Stone stated it "seemed clear that the so-called 'shooters' who killed 14 police men, wounded some 85, and killed 45 protesting civilians, were outside third-party agitators."
"Many witnesses, including Yanukovych and police officials, believe these foreign elements were introduced by pro-Western factions – with CIA fingerprints on it." Stone compared this overthrow to the 2002 and 2014 Venezuela protests. He stated the plan is to "create enough chaos, as the CIA did in Iran '53, Chile '73, and countless other coups, and the legitimate government can be toppled." Continuing, Stone stated, "It's America's soft power technique called 'Regime Change 101.'"
This toppling of the Ukrainian government forced Putin to respond. While Crimea was part of Ukraine, Russia had an agreement with the former Ukrainian government to use Crimea as a warm-water port. With the toppling of the government, Russian military annexed Crimea. Putin felt Russia's national security was threatened, because Russia's two main warm-water ports are Tartus in Syria and Sevastopol in Crimea.
America enjoyed four years of no new wars under President Trump's administration. Numerous articles suggest that Biden's administration triggered the Ukrainian war. Even the pope stated that the war was "perhaps somehow provoked." China's President Xi stated that "conflict and confrontation are not in anyone's interest."
The senior reporter and editor of Newsweek, William Arkin, conducted an in-depth investigation into the CIA's current Ukrainian involvement. Let's see if this sounds familiar:

'Paper of record' documents war far from 'goodies vs. baddies'
Many Americans by now have perceived that the Russian war on Ukraine is for more complicated than "goodies vs. baddies," as one commentary explained. One side has the extremist Vladimir Putin, who has talked even of nuclear weapons. But on the other, there's long been evidence of corruption in Ukraine, and one of the more disturbing factors has been evidence that some of its troops are wearing Nazi emblems on their uniforms. Now a report at Zerohedge explains that even the so-called "paper of record," the New York Times, has conceded that's an issue.
That publication recently admitted, "In November, during a meeting with Times reporters near the front line, a Ukrainian press officer wore a Totenkopf variation made by a company called R3ICH (pronounced 'Reich'). He said he did not believe the patch was affiliated with the Nazis. A second press officer present said other journalists had asked soldiers to remove the patch before taking photographs."
The Times' own headline this week explained, "Nazi Symbols on Ukraine's Front Lines Highlight Thorny issue of History."
Of course, it is the Ukrainian military to whom Joe Biden has sent military equipment, as well as hundreds of millions of American taxpayer dollars.
The Zerohedge report explained, "This acknowledgement comes after literally years of primarily indy journalists and geopolitical commentators pointing out that yes indeed … Ukraine's military and paramilitary groups, especially those operating in the each since at least 2014, have a serious Nazi ideology problem." The report continued:

Interview with Viktor Shokin on tap this weekend
Viktor Shokin is the prosecutor in Ukraine that Joe Biden, as vice president and in charge of Ukraine relations for Barack Obama, demanded be fired. Biden later bragged about it:The situation that developed was that the U.S. was working to help Ukraine eliminate corruption, and one of Shokin's targets was Burisma, a gas company that was paying Joe Biden's son, Hunter, $1 million a year, ostensibly to be on its board but, as evidence suggests, allegedly to get rid of investigations.
The U.S. had concluded Shokin was making progress, but Joe Biden abruptly overruled that conclusion, insisting Shokin be removed, and threatened Ukraine with the loss of a billion dollars of American aid if he was not fired.
He was.
Now, in a coming interview reported to be lined up by Fox News this weekend, Shokin charges that Joe and Hunter Biden did take bribes.
Those bribes already have been documented in an FBI report that said a trusted confidential source confirmed they happened, $5 million to Joe and $5 million to Hunter.

Absent 'strategy,' 'they have no business sending more money into the fog'
Congressionally approved aid for Ukraine has cost each U.S. household hundreds of dollars, Heritage Foundation budget expert Richard Stern says.“The formal aid packages alone amount to a staggering $113 billion—roughly $900 per American household and almost 12 times the spending cuts promised by House leadership in the annual spending bills,” Stern, director of The Heritage Foundation’s Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget, said in an email to The Daily Signal, Heritage’s news outlet.
“As with all new federal spending,” Stern added, “this $113 billion spending spree was added to our national debt and will cost more than $300 in interest costs per household over the decade. Of course, we’ve given more aid than that, but haven’t paid the bill on it yet.”
Congress already has greenlighted over $113 billion in “aid and military assistance to support the Ukrainian government and allied nations” since Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

President Joe Biden on Thursday issued an executive order authorizing the Pentagon to call reservists to active duty “for the effective conduct” of U.S. military support to Ukraine.
At the same time, the Pentagon designated the U.S. military support to Ukraine since 2014 under Operation Atlantic Resolve a “contingency operation.”Biden wrote in a message to Congress:
"By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 121 and 12304 of title 10, United States Code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active Armed Forces of the United States for the effective conduct of Operation Atlantic Resolve in and around the United States European Command’s area of responsibility."Operation Atlantic Resolve began in 2014 to bolster the U.S. military presence in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2014 and annexation of Crimea.
Biden said in the message that he authorized the Secretary of Defense, and the Secretary of Homeland Security with respect to the Coast Guard, to order to active duty any units or individuals not assigned to a unit.

A senior official within the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), which is one of the most influential Washington, D.C. policy shops, is calling on the Biden Administration to deliver nuclear weapons to Ukraine. In a piece penned by Michael Rubin, a senior fellow with AEI, the “foreign policy expert” makes the case that nukes for Ukraine are not only their right to possess, but would act as a means to prevent Russia from using nuclear weapons on Kiev.
“The non-proliferation mafia might howl with outrage,” Rubin declares, in mocking the idea that there is any downside risk to arming Volodomyr Zelensky’s regime in Kiev.

Hitler's American Business Partners:
U.S. Companies Profited from World War II
This documentary uncovers the unholy alliance between Nazi Germany and some of the biggest corporations in the US — companies which were indispensable for Hitler to wage war. Henry Ford, the automobile manufacturer; James D Mooney, the General Motors manager; and Tom Watson, the IBM boss were all awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle — the Nazi's highest distinction for foreigners for their services to the Third Reich. In the statistics of the Reich they were referred to as enemy companies with American shareholders. In the war there were 553 of them, including such well-known names as Coca-Cola, Kodak and American Express; yet very few of them were enemies — some had close contacts to the Nazis. In the case of four large American companies and their German subsidiaries, Hitler was even able to regard the bosses as friends. Without them he would not have been able to wage war. They saw him as the man who would soon be in control of Europe.
At this time, in 1937 and 1938, Hitler's armaments industry was running at full speed. The German subsidiaries of these American companies — Opel, the Ford Werke AG and Dehomag — had willingly allowed themselves to be integrated into the “Führer's” war preparations. Without the trucks and track-laying vehicles produced by Opel and Ford, Hitler would never have been able to occupy Czechoslovakia or invade Poland and France.
Opel was also involved in the production of Ju-88, Hitler's most important bomber. Standard Oil of New Jersey supplied crude oil, special motor oil for tanks and lead additives for aircraft fuel right up to the first years of the war. The Hollerith machines of IBM, predecessor of present-day computers, were to help Hitler organise war and destruction.
The film concentrates on the companies which were indispensable for Hitler to wage war. The documentary is supported by new archive material, as well as interviews with contemporary witnesses and experts.
Operation Paperclip was the codename under which the US intelligence and military services extricated scientists from Germany, during and after the final stages of World War II. The project was originally called Operation Overcast, and is sometimes also known as Project Paperclip.Of particular interest were scientists specialising in aerodynamics and rocketry (such as those involved in the V-1 and V-2 projects), chemical weapons, chemical reaction technology and medicine. These scientists and their families were secretly brought to the United States, without State Department review and approval; their service for Hitler's Third Reich, NSDAP and SS memberships as well as the classification of many as war criminals or security threats also disqualified them from officially obtaining visas. An aim of the operation was capturing equipment before the Soviets came in. The US Army destroyed some of the German equipment to prevent it from being captured by the advancing Soviet Army.
The majority of the scientists, numbering almost 500, were deployed at White Sands Proving Ground, New Mexico, Fort Bliss, Texas and Huntsville, Alabama to work on guided missile and ballistic missile technology. This in turn led to the foundation of NASA and the US ICBM program.
Much of the information surrounding Operation Paperclip is still classified.

Nazis In The CIA - Full Documentary
Six months after Allied Forces liberated German concentration camps, a military tribunal formed at Nuremberg to prosecute Nazi war criminals. Some of the most dangerous were brought to justice - but not all.Documentary Conspiracy reveals how over 4,000 former Nazis went to work for the U.S. government, without the public's knowledge, to help fight the Soviet Union. Reinhard Gehlen, an intelligence officer for Hitler's General Staff, was tapped to head the U.S. intelligence program in West Germany to spy on the Russians. At the same time, former Nazi scientists and engineers were welcomed onto American soil. But the extent of these operations is only now becoming clear: In 1998, a law was passed mandating declassification of documents concerning recruitment of former Nazis. CIA AND THE NAZIS examines these files to see how far the U.S. went in recruiting its former enemy to fight its new one.
The truth is, thousands of former Nazis, some of whom committed atrocities, went to work for the United States government without the public's knowledge. During the war, their crimes ranged from overseeing slave labor camps to sending orphans to their deaths. After the war, they were on the US payroll either as scientists in America or as intelligence agents in Europe.
CORRUPT - CRIMINAL - TREASONOUS
